Tomorrow I am heading to Austin,Texas and although I am super excited, I'm overwhelmed with what I will wear on the plane. Don't judge me but it's something I take very serious. I know I'm no celebrity but I like to look like one when I travel. I am by no means the only one who feels airport fashion should be a class taught to some girls. Author Derek Blasberg wrote a whole chapter about it in his book "Classy." This picture says it all.
I'm sorry. I don't want to be that Uggs, Juicy, thong out girl he describes. So I'm going to take a moment to get this right!!!
So my first concern is a great pair of sunglasses.
I usually prefer sunglasses that you can't see the eyes through and I don't know why but they are the hardest thing to find.
I wish I knew where the "Dash" girls found there sunnies because they seem to always get it right.
Next, is a great scarf. Scarves are a multipurpose item when flying. It's stylish but it can also be used as a blanket, a pillow, or just to hide your face when you are feeling personal disgust for the smelly man you have to sit next to.
What not to wear
Even though you may be traveling from cold to warm temperatures, there is no need to go bottomless.
Don't be a slob. Don't make it look like you have no respect for yourself or others around you. I get it. You want to be comfortable, but come on!
So overall, I like to look to put together, but not overdone. Stay tuned to see what I came up with...
